Beauty or Brains

Beauty or Brains

A Poem by DecentlyOkayWriter
"

Both are okay

"
There once was a girl
who had a father
to make a family of two
And there once was a boy
who had naught but a toy
unlike most boys do
But both were equally content
For soon the boy had his books
and the girl had her looks
but most of all the boy had a father
like most boys tend to
and the girl had a brother
making a family of three
The father taught the brains
so that when there were pains
the boy could fix the wounds
And the father trained the beauty
so there was a pretty,
who could brighten everyone's day
Together the two
Brawled and brewed
To make a team as unstoppable as a train

One is not better,
Although one is more likable
and the other is hard to understand
But the former may not be the brightest
the latter far from dumb
But when both come together
Maybe, just maybe
They can rule the lands
