The Dark In America

The Dark In America

A Poem by Written Depression
"

This is a poem how I see my countries decisions, racism, and the discrimination of those going through hard times.

"

If home is where the heart is

and our heart is in our chest

I think it's time we realize

that we are screwed at best

And in my eyes

the eyes of a god

we are nothing but

the words of a song

Legends and idols

born to be praised

And in my eyes

born to die within days

The days that we live

that are filled with despair

are nothing oh nothing

to those whom we compare

To the family in Africa begging to eat

When us fools in America drop our food at our feet

To the battle long lost on islands untold

What horrible past does OUR COUNTRY HOLD

An abusive family here

Some starving children here

But in the eyes of the government

They see it fit  we live in despair

So now take a look

Oh yes take a look for me

And tell me Oh tell me

President of the free

If Your children are starving

And your funds dwindling down

What gives you the right

to bomb another's home town

And here I am

My thoughts free at last

I say to the government

YOU CAN KISS MY A*S
