Becca and the Gods

Becca and the Gods

A Poem by Deidara

With Wisdom and beauty
she fulfills her duty
Oh! Goddess Athena she be

Commander of skies
distorter of lies
She is like Zeus, you see

born of the sun
oh! musical one
you are like Apollo, so free

daughter of moon
your heart does it croon
Artemis you are, I  decree

the rivers run red
blood of enemies you shed
like Ares her foes do they flee

the goddess of green
the wheat she does glean
Demeter you are, you agree?

oh! grapes of wrath you squeeze
for you drink as much as you please
Dionysus of wine, you shan't have tea

the dead you command
they do match the sand
oh! Hades the dead bow on bent knee

flames of fire you burn
the trust of all you earn
title of Hephaestus I bestow to thee

oh! queen of the sky
none escapes your eye
goddess of marriage, Hera is she

traveling the skies
you mock all with lies
and like Hermes, your laughter rings with glee

You turn house into home
festoon it with chrome
like Hera you fill home with three

the ocean parts before you
all watery creatures adore you
you are Poseidon, ruler of sea

your beauty is second to none
and with this my poem is done
oh! goddess Aphrodite I beseech you love me
