Keeper of Darkness

Keeper of Darkness

  • I am the keeper of darkness.
  • Eyes ablaze, I gaze from my throne.
  • I lie in wait, veiled in cold, dark, malevolent shadows.
  • Watching the weak, fragile creatures struggle in endless, futile pain and conflict.
  • I say unto them "Vanish from this world, disappear from this life, fall prey to darkness and find respite in oblivion!".
  • To let their own careless acts destroy themselves or assist them, that is the question.
  • In the soft whispering meadows lies one creature, and as she lay under the moonlit night, lover's hand in hers, candles dancing with excitement, hearts drunk with happiness, she realizes all is as it should be.
  • She realizes there is an end and beginning.
  • A lazy grin forms on my face. Little does she know, she has little time to enjoy her happiness because that night will be her last.
  • At sunrise the sky lights up like fire, burning, cleansing all of mankind, starting anew, life is reset to once again repeat history.
  • I am death, ruler of life.
