Two Girls

Two Girls

A Poem by Deidara

Frolicking among the rolling sea of green they play
their sharp laughter breaking the sleepy silence
the wind gently caresses their honeyed hair
and the sun lazily smiles upon their pale faces.

Slowly they dance to the rising moons approach.
Their gaze fastened on the icy blue rock shinning brightly
The full moon is coming.

Pale night, pale skin, deathly hallows.
Cruel creatures, dark clouds, overpowering fear.
These all awaken at the touch of night, as they continue to play,
foolishly unaware of their changing surroundings.

Suddenly the night begins its deadly game.
They scramble to make it home.
A shoe falls here, the basket falls there, the beautiful satin bow falls as well.
Then the ground opens its maw wide, one child slips on the dew soaked grass.
The other stops to help her sister.
The fog closes in.

I like the feel of this. Very ominous, yet at the beginning carefree and light. Very enjoyable read. Thanks :)
