It was a day like any other, when you came to me and told me it was over.
Was I not enough?
You asked to be friends.
How could that be, did you truly hate me?
I felt like giving up, maybe I should have just gone home.
But I couldn't stand the thought of being alone.

I cry that night and and the next too, holding to the hope that one day
I would get over you
