Nice To Know

It's nice to know

that i've found love.

Not that..fake love that you buy from hallmark

that love that  is really game

concealed by pure sexual attraction

but the love that a man gives you

the love you feel

when he holds you like he never wants to let you go

never has to say i love you too

you already know

that love that has him waiting until you're ready

and instead of going to sleep

or leaving before sun rise

has him holding you in his arms

gazing into your eyes

that love that forces him

to never want to see you cry

that love that has him keeping you silent

so that you don't tell him a lie

And even when you get mad

he finds a way to make you smile...

going to sleep to his voice

makes loving him

all worth while

he's seen me at my best

and loved me at my worst

i've had all kinds of love

but his real love is my first.
