Drop Dead Gorgeous (Take 2)

Drop Dead Gorgeous (Take 2)

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

A rework of another poem from 2005 that I forgot about.

"
Well, you're back in town ... he done you wrong
And now you're singing that same old song
About how you always cared for me
How you were always there for me
But, you know we've played that game before
The first time that you walked out that door
I forgave you and let you back inside
Forgot about all the tears I cried
Then after just a few months went by
You left me for another guy
And now you speak of starting anew
Well that's one thing that I will not do
I won't play a game that I'm bound to lose
So drop dead, gorgeous ... 'cause you're old news

welcome....
Trust is important in a relationship and if one cheats, like in this scenario, then trouble rumbles... hard to reinvent the first dagger.... well written
Warmly,
B
