No Bernadette

Inspired by the film "The Song of Bernadette"

Has the spring

truly run dry

or do my

jaded eyes

simply refuse

to see it ?

Have cynicism

and doubt

blinded me

to the promise

which should be

so obvious ?

Alas, I am

no Bernadette.
