Venice Could Not Wait

Venice could not wait for us

Could not hesitate for us

It moved inland from the flood

Now its canals are filled with mud

Where else cannot wait for us

Cannot risk its fate on us

Where else will soon flee a flood

So it doesn't fall with a thud

Venice could not wait for us

And it's getting late for us

Do we have it in our blood

To find a way to stop the floods

Venice could not wait for us

I don't think we can stop the floods...we need a helping hand from Mother Nature.
but it won't stop the love and togetherness....
and these storms really bring out the best in people as they rally to rebuild.
Maybe some relationships need to be rebuilt from a flood of tears.
