Even More (War)

Even More (War)

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

Yes, even more

"
Even more killed
Even more gone
How much longer
Can this go on

Even more grief
Even more pain
To not stop this
Would be insane

Even more pride
Even more rage
Will we ever
Turn the page

Even more killed
Even more gone ...

Today our world is seeking the ending. Not beginning my friend. Talk of war, so many wars are active. I believe we have become numb of the murdered. Children being murdered in Palestine, Israel, Russia and Ukraine. 13 active war zones. Great countries sending weapons of death. I was a soldier for 15 years. I delivered the water, food, gas, medicine and guns, bullets to the killers. I accepted. I was a part of the murder of the innocence. Your poetry. Hard, true and is here now. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I hope not. Few voices of hope and for peace. You are welcome Jim.

Once more, I have to say that I love the repetition of the first two lines of the poem as the final two lines in this awesome and so inspiring poem, Jim. Everyday we live in hope of a new page in the history of our world being turned where light, peace, hope, love, joy, blessings will fill everybody's heart. It's not happening, sadly and even more sadly, I cannot see it happening in the distant future, or even in the near future. I love this anti-warm poem, Jim. I wish everybody could read it, it might change the world, one person at a time... Thank you for writing and for sharing, Jim... Lovely work!
(Deepest sympathy on the crossing over to Spirit of you dear friend Hersh, Jim. Bless you both always, dear friend).
