Depression Monologue #2

Depression Monologue #2

A Poem by Destiny Joy Wells
"

I actively try, but I'm left in the outside. When I feel like this, I read Psalm 27:8.

"

Have you ever been left in the outside?

Forgotten

Abandoned

Feeling slightly abused

They don’t

actively

exile you

But they don’t

try

to care.

When I talk,

I know they’re just waiting for me

to shut up.

When they sit,

I just know that seat

isn’t for me.

I feel such pain

all the time.

I’m always blinking back tears

but

they don’t see.

They never see.

I’m left in the outside
