A Prayer to God

I remember the tears streaming down
When I realized you were gone
I felt a pressure on my chest 
And an emptiness in my soul. 

Slowly the sun began to fade 
And shadows overwhelmed the sky 
All the darkness killed our light 
Without any warnings or signs.

I closed my eyes 
And began to imagine you 
Being on my arms 
Thinking no one can harm you now 
Praying for the morning light 
To guide your path 
So I know you will be all right
When you taken from me  
And no pain
Would ever be felt by you
I just pray for you to be safe and sound.

I dare not to seek for light 
Because I know it had burn out 
As my demons keeps bringing me  down
I wish I had something to hold on to 
But everything I believed in is broken now 
Shuttered into pieces like my heart.

God play me a melody 
That could heal my heart 
So all my demons can be gone
I want to hold to Your music
For some hope 
And shine a light to guide my path.

Thank you I wrote this actually not too long after I lost him/her but I do believe things happen for a reason and I'm am happy for that small time I had with my baby
