Following the Path of an Outcast

Following the Path of an Outcast

A Poem by Mika =^-^=

What is the purpose of life?
What becomes of us when we depart?
These are the questions often asked.

Has your flame began to burn yet?
Is the fire within raging?

Life is cursed with a cycle stuck on repeat
a situation that causes so much dread within us,
life forcing us to surrender in defeat
because we're forced to live by the book.

Rules pushed on us, dims our inner light
sometimes making us forget who we truly are
this brainwashing make us question ourselves
despite the sorrow we feel, tears flow down.

We know this fight cannot be won
were we lost from the day we are born?
we are slowly getting torn apart.

The letters you wrote
left a mark in this world
I follow down the same road you did.

Life is cursed with a cycle stuck on repeat
a situation that causes so much dread within us,
rules pushed on us, dims our inner light
sometimes making us forget who we truly are
despite of it all one day we'll see our true reflection
and find our fire burning strongly.

Good bye to the norm
Good bye, to the rules.

Despite being an outcast, I can smile
because I know you are somewhere waiting for me
waiting patiently and believing in me.

My fire is raging,
this time,
the fight will be won.

A really deep contemplation...I know everyone at one time or another has thought about their purpose in life...but what's important is to enjoy life and be thankful. :)
