One Word

One Word

A Poem by Destinee
"

We are all born with a number of words.

"

We are born with a limited number of words
They told me as I held you in my arms.
Though it was painfully beautiful,
You had only one.

I usually dislike anything that makes me think it could be talking about a child, or children, even if it just hints at it, but I liked this. It had a really nice flow to it, and it wasn't drawn out, it was the perfect little snippet of a thought. I also love the premise of it, especially since it can apply to more than just the most basic meaning that's seen on the surface.
