Loneliness

Loneliness

A Poem by Destiny S.

it is, regrettably
these temporary lapses;
these fleeting moments of weakness
when simple solitude
turns into the most agonizing loneliness
that I find myself wondering
just when did I...
-grimace-
... voluntarily
succumb to this misery?

I find your poem to be both devilishly simple, but deep at same time. I appreciate the free verse style of your poem, even though when I write poems myself, I have a tendency to learn more towards a more structured work. For your first piece of writing, I very much enjoy it. I look forward to many more bits of inspiration to come.
