Peace in the World

All we want is peace for us
A safe place for every child is enough,
Lights high far and bright
Love as pure in sight,
All we need is peace in the world
From tonight.

Wars fought and lives sought
Losing sight of the horror caught
Bloodshed in the devils court,
Pain felt in a child's eyes
As his feet touch deadly mines,
Limbs burnt from every dime
The money craved from every crime.

The world held in hands of those who enforce
Crippled and bought by the corrupt force,
No harm to us if we abide
West to the east far and wide,
Are we ever safe from this growing tide
Holding us like puppets from every side
Ignorant in everything hidden through time.

When will we learn
When will the truth be our concern,
Save every child from the soulless life
Where we are controlled and in strife,
Fighting each other for what we are told is right
When will we stand up for the peace we fight?

I really enjoyed your poem.
I love this stanza:

We live in a world go turmoil.
