the world is swallowed whole-

 

 

far to grasp the out of reach and waiting for both ends to meet

feast on the beast to tempt its taste, tease and you will be devoured

 

to far of the few and the far in-between, it is forever the never ending

the world will simply not end its feast

it is a feast fed from within

 

to chase the fallen desire and flee, to leave the left for longing

only to return to rest then feed, as we tease and it devours

 

rock bottom, the tattered soul...in a black market world

the guns, the knives, the ammunition...more maliciousness and arson

killing, raping, self deceit... the endless list of pure conceit

and the world is swallowed whole

You speak not only in rhyme but also in riddle. It's as if each statement is a question that ends in the answer and you do it in a beautiful rhyming scheme. This piece is a gumbo of thought, full of known yet hidden spices and I love it. Each delicious bite brings another piece of the puzzle. Sensational.

Unfortunately, this piece is very true. The faults of the human race often overshadow the beauty lying beneathe. Your writing is so intricate yet you leave open space for the reader to fill in the blanks with their own opinions or interpretation. Sometimes, that is "just what the Dr. ordered".
