Empty Promises

Empty Promises

A Poem by Welcome To My Nightmare
"

Thoughts speak louder than words.

"

Empty promises you have stated, do your thoughts depend on you?

That hated beast you created, your black gives the deepest blue.

Thoughts that spin on your shoulders, keeps you running your wheel.

Growing quiet, growing colder. Bruising deepens, an old ripened peel.

Down inside you may speak the world but, the volume just can’t reach.

Your stomach churns, milk that’s curled, lethal cup of a mental bleach.

Keep your empty promises where they’re safe, swallow until it kills.

When death comes reaping and it’s all too late, say you "lived for the thrills".

Remember how much you desire, before you start to crater.

When your passion loses fire, remember you freak, you’re born nature.

Find peace before you decay to bone, it’s they who last the longest.

Born alone, you die alone. Building alone keeps you strongest.

Let this be a message to you, I hope you don’t mind.

My black has completely killed my blue, and my emotions over time.
