Homicide

Written by Destiny R. Glenn

Wear gloves,

No prints,

Be careful;

Wouldn’t want to leave your tracks.

Images flash through my mind,

In which he deserves.

My mind calls;

Don’t forget your knife.

One ring on the door,

No answer came.

Let me try the window.

I’ll try this once again.

Too late to run,

Too late to hide,

You already did the mistake.

You did your desires;

Now its time for mine.

Better start praying now.

You lay quietly tucked inside your bed;

I’m about to disturb.

Two little shakes to the right.

Now you’re getting what you deserve.

An evil smile will begin to appear,

Now that I know your revenge has begun.

Chills slide up my back,

Up and down my neck they go.

Three blows to the head.

Blood splatters everywhere.

Eyes filled with laughter.

This can’t be wrong!

Four blows to the chest;

My heart skipped a beat.

Tick tock, tick tock;

Time shall fly by.

It time to double!

Eight slashes through the heart,

It can be quite breath taking.

But now joy is full within.

No heartbeat,

No breath,

No nothing,

I’m having such a ball!

Clock strikes twelve.

It time to go.

Now I know trouble won’t come my way.

Due to a mystery,

He may never be seen again.

To who may call it homicide?

I call it suicide.

You may never catch me!

I’m already dead.

Im a demon,

Already heading your way.

Quite fascinating: love to see this poem become a short story. I would love to get insight into the speaker's mind and see his back story.

Second to last line, the first word needs an apostrophe. That's the only thing I caught. Other than that, good poem. It's like that "do not disturb" sign in a hotel room that basically says, "already disturbed, please come in." This quite an interesting poem that tells a story like a movie.
