Longing

Longing

A Poem by Darkyshadow
"

May you rest in peace, Mother. I love you and miss you so much.

"
I took a long journey
To reach your place
And attend your burial
Things were unusual
Lights seemed to be dull
Songs conveyed hopelessness
Crying ladies' showed empathy
Then I saw you
Lying comfortably in a white coffin
As if you're sleeping gently
"Why?"
I knew that was only a nightmare
From my repressed thoughts
I wanted to wake you up
But my tears dropped
And no one could stop me
From a terrible lament
You lied!
You left me with emptiness
I know this is painful
But I know someday
We'll meet again
I love you, Mom.
