Mistaken

Mistaken

A Poem by Dhriti Jain
"

It was a wonderful experience...a smooth flow of thoughts to ink, the darkness of the night and my eyes communicating with an unusually bright star. :)

"
Mistaken

There is darkness outside
Not for a negative soul
Only the night
And its melody so sore
As if mist hidden hopes
No beckoning, no goal.

Glancing through the window
Of that old stilt house
You see a sour, crisp moon
An old, mundane tout.

Not a star of those times
Could shine for me so bright
As the now never trodden promises
I saw deep in those eyes
Enveloped deep in my sighs.

Awakening gloom is all I sense
An intimacy of the expanding cage

Oh! A star I do see
Shining as far as you
Outside...
In the dead view.
