Are you a believer

Are you a believer

A Poem by Diabolicalbeard

are you a believer

i don't know if i am

tell me a way probably take a life span

a foreigner to familiar ground

names scratch from trees like we never dated
They all hear it
Late night two phantoms debated

was it just a mirage
paste on my face
its the torn collage
sunset blood shines off the wine in the garage

captured on camera
i can no longer see
refracted to form
a false image of a connection
that isn't guarantee

was she Cleopatra
or a fading counsel of a dying companion
just another rock forgotten
vultures don't visit me in the Canyon
her lipstick is the dynasty
we are just merchants
just shortage of variety
i fall in love with the ocean
now it's a dead sea
covered with liquid
door attached by hinges with a broken key

filled with intense emotion and imaging ... another broken heart .. but ever new eh!? so tempting to give up but the crazy thing is most of us can't ;) hope your protagonist will wake to a new sunrise soon ...
