breathing

breathing

A Poem by The Xi of Nothing
"

an older work of mine. i think its a bit too simple but eh?

"

During this night of endless dreaming,

While our bodies lye, the silence screaming,

I fight them again,

I fight to keep breathing.

I found myslef in a cemetary sitting,

Through the mist I saw them comming,

I ran, it began,

I ran to keep breathing.

In the darkness a sword was gleaming,

With monsters, thier eyes glowing,

I killed, my fury released,

I killed to keep breathing.

Now I spend my time hunting,

Intent to keep thier blood running,

I must stand, now and forever,

I must keep breathing.

I like it bro. I enjoy the Edgar Allen Poe touch that it has to it, yet much more optimistic for Poe would never be able to slay the demons that haunted his dreams. I like that even though the speaker has to remain ever vigilant of new foes, they have hope. They have defeated these fiends before and are ready to do it again. It is a good piece bro. I enjoyed it quite well.

It's nice,a great way to start an unedited poem,
causes me to think about those poem I've got
stashed away, the meaning draws the reader to a delving ponder,
you captured the overshadowing feeling well.
