Mental Health

A Poem by Dianah
"

This was inspired by some people I worked with as a volunteer in a Horticultural Rehab Unit.

"

Another beer
cant hide the fear
behind painted  smiles.

Darkness lies
in vacated eyes
found in another file.

Turned paranoid
lost in the void
as the world walks by.

Misunderstood
lost in the woods
caught in her mind's eye.

More medication
won't cure a nation
drugs just pacify.

The cavalry lost
at such a high cost
watching time fly by.

Sensitivity sits
brains blown to bits
by society's restrictions

Shattered shells
locked in cells
creativity constricted

Unurtured flowers
killing hours
time to be replanted

A nations wealth
it's mental health
too often taken for granted.

This is great, as always I am never disappointed when I read your work
Always sharp, always gritty,
Great job, well done
