First sight till now.

First sight till now.

A Poem by Digvijay Singh
"

Ps: i love you.

"

I loved you from first sight.

Of course, it took a lot than first sight to realize..

Something so good..

As if monsoon arrived early.

Our together dance that night, you remember?

The way you smiled and clock went dead.

The way you smell.

Or how our finger fits.

How my heart skip a beat whenever i see you.

Yes, it took a lot than first sight to know that i love you.

But i did. From first sight.

And Crazy it may sound

But i feel first sight.. everytime.

This may go forever

This may end tonight

But the brown of your eyes will stay with me,

As long as there is time.

I'm not a fan of love poems but this one really appeals to me. I like how it does not sound like most love poems. You have many startling word choices that carry maximum meaning in fewer words. Like: "monsoon arrived early" . . . this little phrase says SO MUCH! I don't even live in India, but I know what this means. When the season of plenty comes. Also: "clock went dead" feels like a more harsh way to say "time stood still" (a boring phrase that's overused). I like it when a love poem says the usual things in unusual ways. Now for the bad news: "my heart skip a beat" (cliche!!!!) This needs some of your snappy word crafting to make it sound more like YOURS! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
