Beach In The Bath

Beach In The Bath

A Poem by Dillon Walker

One foot in

Then the other

the water warms me

from the outside in

Gently caressing my legs

As if it knows

I need the comfort

The ripples on the surface

collide with my skin

Slowly lulling me into

an unfamiliar peace

Th soft air greets my nose

with its sweetness

And slowly gives my lungs new life

My entire body relaxing

with every breath I take

The orange light tickles my nose

and dances on my cheekbones

And with every passing moment

I become more

and more entranced

And drift softly into sleep

And when I wake

I am once again greeted

By the beach I’ve created

In my bathroom
