Incongruity

“You’re too pretty to be in this situation”
He says during an impromptu conversation
My mind starts to reflect as I kick my legs up for a sec

What entirely does that mean?
I mean, I once stayed in an apartment with Jean because he said the same thing.
And I remember walking into the apartment and seeing the windows covered with brick
His sinister smile while licking his lips

You see, people think “pretty” is some sort of solution
But pretty often leaves you seeking retribution
I remember staying with Kenny, because he let me
I was done with Rachel and needed some renovation in my life
He was a comedian, I caught him on stage a few times
A Sagittarius m, so you know he’s my type
He thought I looked pretty in pink, and wanted to extend some support
Kenny lived in a basement, or more like a fort
5 minutes inside and I wanted to change directions.
So here I go, once again, calling Rachel for protection

So can you blame me for wanting to get it on my own?
Because the people who wish to “help” are too, often times, broken.

Yes... many people are broken...

Completely broken...

But they are still people... never the less...

The world doesn't really belong to the beautiful...

It belongs... to the broken and the ones in pain...
