Injustice

Injustice

A Chapter by Dina

How many cases have gone unsolved?

Because the police tell the victim it's their fault

They're mentally ill

Or should've known better

What they describe is impossible

Or else they would've been there

Traceless crimes that torment the collective

And those in uniform walking around big headed

Claiming they see all that could transpire

At the same time, a man just got paid through a wire

When we discount possibilities

We create room for injustice

We can not only consider what can be seen when we want it

There are people grieving from taking a loss

That could've been prevented

With the help of a coin toss

So today, I encourage you to reconsider

There are possibilities out there that are much bigger

Than systems, models, and protocol

Consider this fact, and bring justice to all
