"
Even with the sky raining down, I feel you here,
A crippled star amongst the pain, guiding my way,
And above the pouring ashes and the dying tears,
A blue shot of light takes me away,
Together lost in a world high above reality.

And though we're constantly sinking,
There's nothing more beautiful than the scars that remind me we're alive,
And the warm blankets of air that head our cries, silent and deadly
In the night.
And when we are all monsters, who's there to tell me I'm beautiful?
And when we are all crying, who's there to dry my tears?
And when we all live in hollow execution, who's to say I'm even alive?

The lightning breaks the sky and a shooting star crashes between us,
Light wings beat against the night, blinding all those who look,
A world of paint globed together, no detail to tell us apart,
And so when the darkness spreads there's no where to look but within.
And why we try to fight it no one knows.
And why we try to fight each other, no one understands.

And when I see your smiling face all covered in tears,
I remember the fading memories of love,
And when I hear you scream I remember why I lived,
Deep inside the wakes of hell where we are all monsters
And the sky is our only path to redemption,
A sky we corrupt with our own selfish need to fly.
Where's our redemption then?

And I miss your hands in my hair, pulling it back out my face,
And your words that remove the mask that hides my burns.
I never knew you'd love me quite like you always have,
And your words they're right, even if I believe they're wrong.
But it's nothing new, and it's nothing long gone,
For the pain in your heart is my redemption,
The puzzle connecting the pieces.

And when we are all monsters, who's there to tell us we're beautiful?
And when we are all crying, who's there to dry our tears?
And when we all live in hollow execution, who's to say we're even alive?
And why we try to fight it, no one knows.
And why we try to fight each other, no one can understand,
But the beast that cries from underneath the lies
And finds the soul within.

Author's Note

Dindella
I will almost never explain what my poetry means, since I don't want you to follow my meaning of it. The meaning is entirely up to you and I'd love to hear what your translation is, why it means something to you or why it doesn't. The more in-depth the better, but that doesn't mean you have to write something really long and depthy if you don't want to. I appreciate any and all reviews. <3
