Something Close

"
The brace of darkness against the breath of fire.
The light breaths in so deep it's like a tidal wave,
Ever pulling and pushing at the shore,
For with land there is sea.

Blades raise higher and higher
Against the backdrop where heaven stays,
And collects the business of a cliff-drop wanting more
Then just a broken man. Then to be free.

For in brotherhood, sisterhood, be the protector of angels.
Angels maybe not with wings, but of hearts fluttering madly.
Don't beg me for a cure, my friend. I know not what you seek,
Or perhaps I do and the skies have clipped me badly.
You are what you reek.
Abode.

Sometimes, I see stars when I hear rainbows,
And if even the best fall down, I wish I could catch you in my arms.
Rip off my wings. And perhaps, maybe, reap what I sow.

Author's Note

Dindella
I will almost never explain what my poetry means, since I don't want you to follow my meaning of it. The meaning is entirely up to you and I'd love to hear what your translation is, why it means something to you or why it doesn't. The more in-depth the better, but that doesn't mean you have to write something really long and depthy if you don't want to. I appreciate any and all reviews. <3
