Rash

Rash

A Poem by Dindella

Another repost from DA ( http://dindellathedefender.deviantart.com/art/Rash-POEM-336722539 ), so you guys can see it here. Wasn't sure what maturity to put this under here.

"
I feel the rash of time spreading through my intestines,
And the bitter wind gorging my eyes out like a sandbar.
The meaning obscured behind words,
Loosely strung across vines,
Burned in tar,
And remembered by the absurd.

And like a child forbidden to play Minecraft
Because the pieces just aren't real,
A whole world is forgotten,
Left in the blanket where the baby laid
And sent to hell to fester for existing.

It's as if tables were lost in the map,
And we exchanged it for shocking secrets and an eel.
I behead myself in a field of cotton,
Because I just couldn't have stayed
Where you left me to die and missing.

I understand that the clock tolls backwards,
But the lake is crying in blood and I can't stop myself to heal it.
My eyes are shut tight against the fire,
But it is the rash that soothes me.

Author's Note

Dindella
I will almost never explain what my poetry means, since I don't want you to follow my meaning of it. The meaning is entirely up to you and I'd love to hear what your translation is, why it means something to you or why it doesn't. The more in-depth the better, but that doesn't mean you have to write something really long and depthy if you don't want to. I appreciate any and all reviews. <3
