My Golden Bloom

My Golden Bloom

A Poem by Dindella

No matter how much we change,
My love for you will stay the same.
Because you grew a flower in my heart,
A bloom so sweet it can never fall apart.
And if ever someone tried to make me feel ashamed,
Well, I will never feel that way.

Your golden petals are wrapped around my heart,
A silver vine an ax could never cut apart,
And in bloom in night or day
You glisten and shine the dark away.
I will never be alone, even when it seems,
For I know, somewhere out there, you are there for me.

You are everything I wanted in life,
You are everything to me.
And together we shall expand to new heights,
Because you are here, you see.
Your vine grows to the heavens,
A tower tall and wide,
Around you stars shine and I count seven.
Here’s to no thorns in my sides.

No wall too thin, no thorn too sharp,
Can make my safety fall apart.
And if I am grown into these walls, well,
I won’t mind to stay,
Because if the rain were to ask then I would tell
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Author's Note

Dindella
I will almost never explain what my poetry means, since I don't want you to follow my meaning of it. (However this time, I will come forth and say this is dedicated to my best friend) The meaning is entirely up to you and I'd love to hear what your translation is, why it means something to you or why it doesn't. The more in-depth the better, but that doesn't mean you have to write something really long and depthy if you don't want to. I appreciate any and all reviews. <3
