A Poem by Dindella

You gave me your name and I gave you my empire,

I gave you my heart and lifted you higher,

To a place you should never be, never be.

And I gave you my blood and you gave me your tree,

But what we planted together you will never see.

I hope it burns your blood, I hope your nation falls,

You, sickening, on your knees as you crawl,

A king with no queen, a wasp with no fury,

I’ll bury you right under this jury.

No knight to your name, no bird to your calling,

I clip you right off the vine and send your soul falling,

Do unto others as you would yourself,

So for you, you have no one to blame but yourself,

Your lies are over and we are, too.

We’re done, we’re done,

Goodbye to you.

Author's Note

Dindella
I will almost never explain what my poetry means, since I don't want you to follow my meaning of it. The meaning is entirely up to you and I'd love to hear what your translation is, why it means something to you or why it doesn't. The more in-depth the better, but that doesn't mean you have to write something really long and depthy if you don't want to. I appreciate any and all reviews. <3
