Oblivion

Oblivion

A Poem by k.d. taylor

Through a wall of “boo’s”,
And a shallow pool of distinct rattling,
     THEY ALL GO WILD!

In Dali’s final hour,
Many tears streamed into the ocean,
Fish,
Going insane with red blood,
And pale moon.

The critic as Phillies fan, perhaps?

The final stanza is wonderfully concise and efficient (terms probably never used to describe Dali in his ownself.) It's a pitch-perfect rendering of how Dali might have shuffled off this mortal coil.
