To Silence

To Silence

A Poem by Cherub Apathy

Did you feel comfortable?

Did you feel yourself slip away to silence?

Did they surround you?

Did they embrace the child

they lost that day...

you broke your home and walked away?

This page is split down the center

The lyrics of your eulogy

Will be unread

Nothing makes it any easier

To put your memory to rest

They took away your home

They took away your breath

To live the life that showed

The shoulder that was...

Wasted the life

Wasted the show

Lost in her own innocent hell

Hold on to this day

So I can fill your selfless wishes

So you wont ever cry again

But I cant help the way

You dont want to be saved

This heroin girl addict...

The angelic simple...

Until the day she lost her faith...

With the wind across your back

And the sun that lights your face

I will hold you in your place

Standing right there beside you

Will the whims of his good grace

So you may die another day

Break the rot that stains your face

And bow down before me....
