Infinite Reservoir of Love

Infinite Reservoir of Love

A Poem by Dipansh Girdhar

I made a bunch of paper hearts
Because my own wore out.
I loved and hoped and cared too much
Such strong feelings I’d flout.

Until I’d no love left to give,
No energy to share.
Without my heart, I wasn’t me
I hovered in despair.

But then I discovered a trick
That cheered my very core
If my own heart had been used up
Then I could just produce more!

As the heart is just a vessel, that
Hands out the love I deal.
Anyhow I'll still have all the love in me
That I will ever need to feel.
