The Reason Why

Uh, again about my cat, a little bit of a lighter side. My dad rescued a kitten and named her Suki, she looks just like my cat that passed and I feel like she's made this somewhat easier

I felt numb
When I suddenly lost everything
My life was buried in the ashes
Smothering my heart
And making it harder to breathe

 

And it feels so wrong
My life has disappeared
With nothing to make me feel alright

 

You came to me
It was like it was meant to be
You’ve made my world peaceful again
Even with my life long gone

 

I didn’t think
That I’d be able to do this
To open up my heart again

 

My broken heart is finally able to beat
And my tears have finally ceased
And looking back
I finally see,
You were the reason why

 

And it feels ok now
Although my life will never return
You’re here now to make me feel alright
