Monster

I wasn't conceived with loving motives

I was brought into this world

Enwrapped in a dark curse

I'm just a monster

Trapped in my own life

 

You made me believe

That I deserved the agony

You made me feel

That I was nothing more than a sin

 

I was just a nightmare

You prayed would go away

I was just a lie

You refused to live

 

You tried to define me

But you never knew

Because you never bothered to care

 

I've become so numb

I can't hear the sound of my own heartbeat

Am I even alive?

 

Taking your life

And watching your blood run

Is the only way to know

I'm still alive.
