Real Monster

Real Monster

A Poem by Jessica Lima

Oh, So you think you are a monster...

Darling, you ain't got a clue!

Come out and play little imposter

I'll show you what I always knew.

You're hurting others because you hurt.

So pathetic an excuse!

Go home at night right after work

And start licking your own damn bruise.

Don't take a life and then regret it,

Look at them 'dead' in the eyes.

'Cause if you can't ,little Imposter...

You are the one who should have died.

We ALL will face the same damn music

Atone for all the wrong we've done

But if you are not a real monster

The devil alone this game has won.

I like the focus and the structure of this one. And the emotion is strong and clear. Great job!

Very strong emotions evoked, possibly resentment. Beautiful imagery. All-in-all, a good read.
In this line "The devil alone this game have won" it should be "has" won.
Thank you for sharing!
