Of Ghosts and Memories

Of Ghosts and Memories

A Poem by Brandon Taylor-Black

Silver moonlit strands of cobweb
Unto the cross, I begged
As memories, those ghouls of time
Reminded me of my crimes

The demons waltz within my mind
To memories of better times
On marbled floors of ancient tears
I close my eyes and hear them scream

My loved one's; friends gone to their graves
Bad memories leave bitter tastes
I searched inside my heart to find
I'd found my soul but lost my mind

The sky flashed bright white anger
It howled it's insults, cold
Alone, I found myself wandering
Walking on the footsteps of ghosts
