Ware, Mere Mortals

Ware, Mere Mortals

A Poem by Brandon Taylor-Black
"

Don't ask...you'll only get a nonsensical answer anyway....

"

Ware, mere mortals
Stricken, struck and damaged
Vessels of Flesh, upon the ocean of life
Whereupon the ravages of time feast
Dine upon blinded eyes
For they see not, the passage of time

Ware, mere mortals
Lost along the passage of time
Haphazardly living one day at a time
Caught in the slipstream of delusion and infatuation
Where sanity gives way to the torrent of madness
And oceans of tears fill the abyss
