Behold It

Behold It

A Poem by Brandon Taylor-Black
"

Behold it.....

"

Time, behold it with wonderment
As it slips by unseen
Taking with it an essence of innocence
Passages, words, written on yellowed parchment

Love, behold it with amazement
The magnetism of hearts
Colliding in an explosion of lust and beauty
Losing yourselves in each other

Beauty, behold it with eyes of innocence
Succumb to it's appeal and presence
From the new born babe, to the clouds floating by
Reflect on your hearts desire

Truth, behold it with unflappable trust
Embrace the unjust with just cause
Take to heart, feelings, love
Honesty, is the best policy

Hope, behold it with fervour and pride
Falling ne'er, to the whispers and accusations
Live in hope, that tomorrow bring brighter days
Trust what layeth deep inside

Love, behold it
Treasure it
