Rose

Rose

A Poem by K. Gray

Coloured glasses, paper

A white wall

just a wall

levers on the side where she let go

The void beyond

where the bad men went

where I never want her to go

Saved, at the last minute

from the white wall

that is just a wall now

Gone, never to return

Beyond me, beyond the white wall

It's smooth, cold, plain

just a wall now

The last image of her

etched in silhouette

in my memory

my vast memory

The wall, against my cheek

cold, the ice in my veins

The ghosts are gone

The white wall

is just a wall now.

This is supposed to be indented and spaced out all over the place, but I can't figure out how to do that on here. So be kind!
