Birthday

Birthday

A Poem by Donna
"

How I feel about my birthday!

"
When I was a young girl I would count the days until my birthday.
All I wanted was to be older. My Dad and I would celebrate our birthdays together, since they were only days apart.
Now that I am older, they aren't so fun. My Dad is gone and I'm just getting older and older.
Life goes on and I am thankful to have another birthday.
Happy birthday to my Dad, and to me!

Very aptly put and you touch me somewhere with your thoughts here Ms. Donna. Birthdays can be cruel reminders! How things change as one adds on the years...Dear ones die and aging takes away the joy we found in the seasons. Yet, perhaps its good to be alive and breathing still when so many unfortunates go down to premature graves every moment, every day. Maybe, that's the only good thing about going on living....

It is my pleasure!
I'll say happy birthday to you and your Dad too Donna. You are so right., birthdays aren't quite the same in your later years. Hope it turns out better than you thought.
