Sea above the sealevel

Sea above the sealevel

A Poem by Sanjukta Sen Banerjee
"

This is a shot taken by a sleepy pair of eyes and developed by a half awake mind from the window seat of the first flight that left the runway one day among everyday

"

Have they ever told you  of seas above the deep blue sky

 None  told me ever anywhere

And yet I saw one spanning right before my eyes

Deep blue and then light purple stretching as far as eyes could reach out

Till the horizon that seemed  drenched in the blue of copper sulphate

And the sun woke from underneath its cover after a night's sleep

Such waves of  white foam and froth

They rose before me like a genie from a lamp

While  I was flying over the deep blue sea..

And yet at the sea bed lay a toy township

After all the clouds were in the middle of a charade

And they chose to dress as the Sea...
