Nightly Moon

Nightly Moon

A Poem by DorothyParker

Stars swallowed hard
coughing up dust.

I waited.

Milky Way breathed
Longing ran after you

Band of pale feelings
embraces the goodness of you.

Meteors filled up my lungs
wishes half finished.

Naked eye cannot see when
tears burn in atmosphere.

Single thought chases after you
guided by my beating heart.
