Starsailor (Wayfaring Stranger)

Starsailor (Wayfaring Stranger)

A Poem by Lonesome Traveler

The stars haunt the night,

Your soul shoots the breeze.

We could grasp them,

But should we try?

-

Starsailor, or just wayfaring stranger?

Ambeguity inked into the eyes

Colours sketch, but your tears paint.

The canvas of a broken dawn.

-

We roll on through the night;

A brave new world, or crippled tomorrow?

We swim the tide of uncertainty,

But there's no leaving now.

-

The stars haunt the night,

Your soul shoots the breeze.

I ask what I dread to know,

Starsailor, or just wayfaring stranger?
