What the Nightmare Brings

A poem that I wrote on halloween a few years ago, just for the heck of it~ ^.^

Flickering lights and crys of fright

An army of Hellish things

Hords of beasts invade the night

What the nightmare brings

Things that haunt the child's dreams

That hover 'round your ear

That whisper tales of horror and dread

And feed off screams of fear

Out of the mind and into the night

Crawl these demons, these gholish fiends

Children in beds close their eyes tight

What the nightmare brings.
