The Embrace

He said, "Don't forget me and I promise I won't forget you..."

Your strong arms wrap around me

As though you think I’m breakable,

So careful -you’re not going to lose me

Again.

 

My heart: the least fragile part of me,

It grows weak when you walk away.

Why can’t you keep me in your arms

Forever?

 

Moments like these make me forget

All the anger and sadness I once felt,

But the one thing I’ll never forget

Is you.
